Palms West Republican Club Meeting Wednesday, Sept 7th, 2011 – Alison Rampersad, Florida Textbook Action Team
The Palms West Republican Club will next meeting of the 2011 meeting calendar on Wednesday, September 7th, 2011. Our special guest speaker will be Alison Rampersad who will speak on the activities of the Florida Textbook Action Team which is working hard to address issues with the textbooks being used in our schools.
As many of you heard at our last meeting, our Vice President Amy Bachman had to step down from her role due to other commitments. We cannot express our thanks enough for Amy’s service to our club during a critical time of transition that was instrumental to our rebuilding. We wish her well in her future endeavors and hope to continue to see her regularly at our meetings.
We will be holding a special election at the beginning of our next meeting on September 7th to fill the Vice President position. There will be a call for nominations from the floor at the meeting and encourage all members interested in the position to reach out with any questions they may have. Please don’t miss this opportunity to get involved and make difference.
All of our meetings are open to the public and we encourage all of our members to bring a friend.
