FL Senate D27 Candidates Speak to The Palms West Republican Club
The Palms West Republican Club held our second meeting of the 2010 year on Wednesday, June 9th with guest speakers Lizbeth Benacquisto, Mike Lameyer and Sharon Merchant, candidates for FL Senate D27. The candidates spoke on key issues affecting our state including our special topic “Enforcing our Laws: States Rights vs. Federal Rights on Illegal Immigration Enforcement”. The candidates presentations and the the question and answer session that followed allowed members to get to hear each candidates positions on many topics affecting our area. Anne Gerwig, our newest member of the Wellington Council, was also in attendance.
Our special thanks to three great candidates for speaking with our club.
Please be sure to mark your calendars for our next meeting on July 7th which will feature our special guest speaker, Honorary Chairman Congressman Tom Rooney. Carl Domino and Ellyn Bogdanff, candidates for FL Senate D25 will also be speaking.

The Palms West Republican Club kicked off our 2010 meeting calendar on Wednesday, April 28th with guest speakers Tami Donnally and DJ DeRenzo, candidates for FL House D85. The candidates spoke on key issues affecting our state including the impact of Obamacare on our budget. Sid Dinerstein, Chairman of the Palm County GOP, spoke to the group providing a insight to current issues and the outlook for 2010. Sharon Merchant, candidate for FL State Senate D27, and Anne Gerwig, Wellington Council, were also in attendance. Please be sure to mark your calendars for our next meeting on June 9th.
